Our ATOL and ABTOT bonds means you benefit from financial protection offering you peace of mind when you travel.
If you a book a holiday including international flights through the Exceptional Travel Company you are protected by our membership of ATOL. ATOL, short for "Air Travel Organisers' Licensing", exists to protect the public from losing money or being stranded abroad in the unlikely event of the Exceptional Travel Company becoming insolvent. Should this occur, the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) will ensure that arrangements are made to fly clients home and will arrange full refunds to any monies already paid for future bookings with us. ATOL was first introduced in 1972 and it gives comprehensive consumer protection to 28 million people in the UK who buy flights or air holidays each year.
If you a book a holiday without international flights directly through the Exceptional Travel Company from the UK you are protected by our membership of ABTOT. As a member of the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT), an Association approved by the Department of Trade and Industry, we have provided a Bond to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992. These regulations apply to packages sold in the UK and this Bond provides security for money paid over by our UK customers. In the unlikely event of our insolvency ABTOT will ensure you are able to continue your holiday if you are already on it and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking.
