Kangaroo Island is beautiful at any time of the year - it might be cold and wet in the winter and very hot in summer but generally the weather changes quickly and a blue sky day is just around the corner. The best times however are autumn and spring.
In the Flinders and Gawler Ranges and in the Southern Outback from April to September the days will be sunny, warm and dry though the nights will be a little on the chilly side. Summer can be stinking hot and is best avoided by those that do not enjoy temperatures around the 37C (100F) or more.
The wine country is pleasant at any time of the year.
